Ironwood is an asymmetric, card-driven, tactical game for 2 players. In the game two armies compete to control the forested “Ironwood,” the Ironclad and the Woodwalkers. The two factions are completely asymmetric in their play styles, decks, victory conditions – even in which parts of the map they can access. Every round each player alternates playing a total of 3 of their faction cards to complete their actions. But, when combat occurs, you will need to use the same cards for their combat and defense values, forcing critical tradeoffs between action and combat. The game also includes a solo mode that can be played alone or open handed with 2 players.
