Beginners can start on a 9×9 grid for 20-30 min matches that are ideal for learning. A full grid is 19×19 and can take many hours or even days to finish a match. One of the most elegant games ever created, the simple rules allow for surprisingly organic dynamics to unfold that mimic many aspects of life, such as business, war, politics, and nature. It’s a game that everyone should try at least once.
