Jekyll vs. Hyde is a competitive trick-taking game for two players based on the famous novella by Robert Louis Stevenson. One player is Dr. Jekyll and the other is Mr. Hyde. Over the course of three rounds, the Hyde player tries to pull the Identity Marker down the track to fully take over Dr. Jekyll’s mind. Each round players compare the number of tricks they have each won and subtract the lowest score from the highest. They then move the Identity Marker towards the winning player the number of spaces equal to that difference. If Dr. Jekyll can keep Hyde from gaining control over 3 rounds, the doctor wins, but if Hyde ever pulls the Identity to the end of the track, the doctor’s mind is lost forever.
