The Metagame has players combining Culture cards, which name a single cultural icon, like “Elvis Presley,” with Opinion cards, which are questions or statements like “Proof that absolute power corrupts absolutely.” The cards can be used to play 6 different game modes, some competitive and some cooperative, for all different player counts, ranging from 2-3 players up to super large groups of 50 or more. We particularly like the History 101 game mode and the Metaquilt game mode, which involves layering a mosaic of Culture and Opinion cards like patches on a quilt.
