In Votes for Women players reenact the history of women’s suffrage in the United States. It’s as much a history lesson as it is a game, with cards depicting and describing actual events and people from the era. Players attempt garner enough support for the right to vote for women across the US to change the Constitution all while lobbying Congress to take up the vote on the amendment.
The board is a map of the US at the time, and each card provides a nice history, some that you likely know already and some that might be new to you. It’s one of the more accessible history games in our collection, and a tense and exciting game that helps to show nothing is inevitable and justice doesn’t come without a struggle.
